This Steiff Classic Teddy Bear is based on the designs of Steiff bears made in 1912, this bear was designed as a tribute to those who died in the Titanic tragedy in 1912 as signified by the black mohair and red detailing around the eyes demonstrating mourning for the victims. The original bear has been very rare, and is a sort after item for all Steiff collectors.
The bear shown here is 22cm, however is it also available as a 32cm version (EAN: 039942). It is traditionally jointed so his head, arms and legs can be positioned to give different poses.
